Best Buddies!
Our buddy system has been a valued part of school life for many years—and for good reason. It’s simply too brilliant to stop!
P6 and P7 pupils are paired with younger pupils from P1 to P5. Each pupil knows who is in their ‘team’ and checks in with their buddy regularly during break and lunchtime.
We have a Buddy Bench in the playground, where any pupil can go if they have a concern. Their senior buddy will then offer support, comfort, or simply a friendly chat.
This system has been especially helpful in reassuring new arrivals and plays a key role in promoting the caring ethos we value so highly.
